Mark kubes firearms hours5/3/2023 ![]() For comparison, this is what KCI mags are going for on GMW right now: Note that those are Korean made mags, similar in every respect to my KCI mags except the stamps (and probably without KCI's lifetime warranty). I got ten of these in the replacement shipment after being promised the correct product: One of the mags included this chopped spring: The one pictured on the right is the worst case of lug pitting/wear, though. Most are in the middle, but closer to that rusted one. CORRECTION: I did receive all ten, but originally misplaced two on my workbench shortly after unpacking them. I ordered and paid for ten of those mags, but only received eight. Note the highlighted portion reading, "East Bloc manufacture". Here's a copy of the listing as I saw it when I made my purchase, including the accompanying product image: Okay, I finally had some time to take some pics. It seems a chargeback is in order, but I'll likely save myself some future trouble and never do business with that person again. So far, it feels a lot like fraud to me: misleading advertising, partial shipment, no refund, no return contact, no attempt to cure. One contained a spring that had been cut down to less than half its original size.ĭespite my many attempts to contact him over the past several weeks, I have been unable to solicit a single response from Mr. Nearly all that I did receive were heavily corroded (tons of rust). CORRECTION: I did received all ten, but originally misplaced two. No refund or attempt to refund for the difference was made for the missing items. Either way, the picture shows a mag in good condition (five rib, eastern bloc design), and the price seems commensurate with a product in decent shape. The items were originally marketed as Hungarian or Bulgarian, but either my memory is really bad or the listing was changed or substituted shortly after I placed my order. I recently placed an order for 30 round Eastern Bloc AK mags from Mark Kubes Firearms DBA. The explanation I was given is that my order was picked from the wrong bin (i.e., used mags as opposed to new or like-new as advertised). I called it and was promised that the deficiencies will be cured. The number isn't prominently displayed on website. UPDATE: Apparently calling their phone number (72) is the best (only?) option. Instead, they shipped me Korean mags, not the advertised eastern bloc mags. Was promised that it would be made right and that I would get what I ordered. UPDATE: Still feels like a bait-and-switch.
